Scattr

Once again Brendan Dawes has come up with something special.

Look to the top of the page...

I've embedded the latest pictures in my (rather underused) Flickr photostream, using his free ScattrLite flash thingy. I'm feeling flush, and now I've got it figured out, I might just get the $9.99 version to customise.

To play around with it, click on the white part of a picture to move, or click on the image itself to see. Fun!

I also want his Analog In, Digital Out book.

I did get it to work on the main page after a bit of trial and error. Mainly seems dependent on where the "settings.xml" file is. It needs to be in the same directory as the page it is on. Which is why the archive pages don't seem to be showing it.

Grrr.

Perhaps I need to adjust some paths. Watch this space...

looks good now. So it all needs to be in the same section?

Yeah - the xml file needs to be in the same folder as the page you're looking at. I'm sure there's a way around it so you only have one xml file for a site, but I suspect it involves getting into the original flash .fla, and that doesn't come as part of scattr.

Have fun!
